Monthly Member Meetings

Attending a writers conference is the best way to meet literary agents, learn from industry experts, and connect with community… BUT it can feel like a lot.

How do you prep for the conference and make sure you’re getting the most out of the experience? Join us for the virtual August Broadleaf Writers Meeting on Thursday August 27th from 7:00pm – 8:00pm EST to clear up any confusion or questions you may have. This information will be good for ANY writer, not just the ones attending the upcoming 11th annual Broadleaf Writers Conference. We’ll be answering the top questions most attendees ask:

  • Do I belong at a conference? (YES, you belong there! Imposter Syndrome is lying to you!)
  • What can you expect?
  • How do you ace the one-on-one pitch sessions?
  • What is the difference between a pitch and a mentoring session?
  • What panels or workshops should you consider attending?
  • How can I connect with other writers if I’m an introvert?

We’ll also have a Q&A and discussion portion to cover anything we didn’t already answer. This meeting is FREE to attend for EVERYONE! You do not have to be a Broadleaf member to sign up, but registration is required. If you haven’t secured your spot at the conference and locked in your one-on-one pitch or mentoring sessions, you can do that at broadleafwriters.com/11th-annual-broadleaf-writers-conference

If you would like to join Broadleaf Writers or renew your membership now, you can do so at broadleafwriters.com/become-a-member or during the meeting registration process. Membership questions can be directed to Zachary Steele at zach@broadleafwriters.com.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
