8th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference

We’re going back to where it all began!

The 8th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference returns to the Decatur Library in Decatur, Georgia on September 23-24, 2023! With one of the strongest list of authors you will ever find at a conference, a fabulous list of agents and publisher representatives, educational panels and workshops, and plenty of opportunities to meet (even online!) and share your work, the 8th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference will offer you all that you need to refine and improve your craft and get you on the road toward publication!

INVEST IN YOU! Attending a writing conference is an opportunity to invest in yourself as a writer, to learn from experts, and to become a part of a community of writers that inspire, uplift and support one another!

With your registration, you will receive access to all sessions of the 8th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference and you will be able to schedule a one-on-one with a literary agent or publisher rep! Additionally, we will once again bring you the opportunity to schedule one-on-one mentoring sessions with an author or agent of your choice. This is a great opportunity to learn more about writing and the publishing industry without the pressure of a pitch!

On Saturday, September 23rd, we will once again present a First Pages Critique featuring a panel of agents and publishers representatives. Be sure to submit your first page prior to the conference in order to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to get your manuscript on the right path!

Thanks in large part to our experience conducting virtual conferences through the pandemic, we’re excited to offer a virtual component as well! For any reason that you may have, you can now choose to attend our in-person conference from your home! With a virtual registration, you still get the option to add a pitch session (these will be handled prior to, or after, the conference, depending on availability of the agent), attend any panel or workshop you would like, and ask questions during the Q&A portions of each session. As well, every attendee will receive complete recordings of all panels and workshops! So, no more missing sessions! You get to see them all!

If you would like a sample of how we handle a virtual conference, here’s one of our sessions from 2021.
