Monthly Member Meetings

Once the first draft is done, the real work begins. Join us for the March Broadleaf Member Meeting on Thursday March 26th on Zoom from 7:00pm – 8:00pm EST for a discussion on editing your story, featuring author, editor, and Broadleaf Writers Founder & Executive Director, Zachary Steele.
Writing, itself, is a difficult thing. But digging into your story, finding what works and what doesn’t, is an entirely different animal. You need to learn to identify what matters to a story and to the development of your characters, and maximize each and every word used. This isn’t a discussion about grammar or the Oxford comma or line editing. This is cleaning the engine that powers the entire book. Your story has to zing, it needs to flow, and it needs to grab hold of the reader and refuse to let go.

This meeting is free to attend for Broadleaf Writers Association members and first time non-member guests. Please be sure to register at broadleafwriters.com/monthly-member-meetings.

If you would like to join Broadleaf Writers or renew your membership now, you can do so at broadleafwriters.com/become-a-member or during the meeting registration process. Membership questions can be directed to Zachary Steele at zach@broadleafwriters.com.

We hope to see you there!
